

The procurement department plays the role of helping other department identify their needs, manage the requisition process and source competitive prices and generally act as controller to ensure adherence to budget, procurement plan and procurement laws.
In addition, the department is responsible for Purchasing of goods and services as per institution’s policy, maintaining and managing good supplier relationship, safeguarding the integrity of procurement process, and disposal of Institution’s obsolete, unserviceable and surplus assets/equipment using appropriate disposal. method.
The department manage advertisement of tenders, receiving, opening, evaluation and fair awarding of contract to qualified approved suppliers, sourcing of quotation and updating list of registered suppliers. The tendering process is fair and transparent, and it is done by evaluation and procurement committees; governed by Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act 2015.
The Procurement Officer, is the secretary to the evaluation, inspection and acceptance and disposal committee and coordinates the internal and external monitoring and evaluation of the supply chain.
The department has improved its quality by establishing target performance level, by monitoring supplier’s performance and rating them on quarterly basis.

- Contract price
- Customer service
